Human Resources Generalist
Position Summary: Provides Human Resources guidance to Team Members and Department Managers focusing on Recruitment, Training, Health & Safety, Team Member engagement and recognition programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Provide support when required to facilitate the recruitment cycle
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new Team Members
Training & Development
- Oversee the coordination of training and development opportunities for Team Members
- Facilitate Service Culture training for new and existing Team Members, providing Team Members with an interactive, engaging and motivating training environment
- Assist with the facilitation of Leadership Training for Managers & Supervisors
- Responsible for the ongoing assessment of our Service Culture with new and existing Team Members
- Compile regular reports through the ADP system, including labour turnover statistics and outstanding training.
Health & Safety
- Participate in monthly Joint Health & Safety Committee meetings and ensure any follow-up items are actioned
- Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) Claims Management
- Facilitate Return to Work programs for Team Members as required
- Accident investigation to determine the root cause of the accident and provide recommendations for action
- Assist with the coordination and oversight of the Company’s Health & Safety program
Additional Responsibilities
- Tracks all HR Driven programs (Educational Assistance, Refer a Friend, Progressive Corrective Action).
- Assist with exit interviews upon voluntary departures
- Contribute to the development of HR policies and procedures
- Assist with planning and executing of Company Team Member events (i.e. Service Recognition Dinner, Summer Picnic, Holiday Parties, etc.).
- Provide ongoing administrative support
- All other duties as assigned
Professional Requirements
- 3 Years experience in an HR progressive role, hospitality experience an asset
- Post Graduate in Human Resources, CHRP required with a desire to progress towards CHRL
- Knowledge of applicable legislation, including the Employment Standards Act, Accessibility for Ontarians Disability Act, Occupational Health & Safety Act, Workplace Safety & Insurance Board, Ontario Human Rights Code
- Strong desire to develop and progress in the HR field

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-property environment
- On an as-required basis, flexibility to work weekends and travel to offsite properties
